Optics Valley produces global ultra-fast USB fiber optic cable to transmit a high-definition movie in 10 seconds

The USB3.0 active optical fiber data line with ultra-long transmission distance and ultra-fast speed in the world is the first to be mass-produced in Optical Valley. The only company in the world that has this technology at the same time is Corning Company of the United States.
At the 2014 Cross-Strait Optical Communication Forum held in Han yesterday, the news cheered the audience. USB3.0 active optical fiber data line technology is jointly developed by Wuhan Changfei, an optical communications giant on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and Taiwan Weisheng Electronics, a chip design company. At the end of last year, the two sides set up Changxinsheng Company in Optics Valley to develop and produce active optical fibers with chips. It has achieved mass production before Corning. At present, the products have been sold in Amazon China.
Zhang Xin, marketing director of Changxinsheng, said that the USB2.0 data line we use everyday has a one-way transmission capacity of 480 megabits per second, while the USB3.0 optical fiber data line can transmit 5G data in one direction per second, and the two-way data processing capacity is as high as 10G. Counting the writing, writing and cache consumption of the hard disk, it only takes 10 seconds to copy a 1G HD movie.
Because the USB3.0 optical fiber data line uses optical fiber transmission, in addition to the faster speed, the transmission distance is far more than 3 meters of ordinary copper cable, reaching more than 100 meters. Its diameter and weight are less than 1/3 of traditional copper wire, and it is naturally resistant to electromagnetic interference. It is suitable for daily consumption and can also adapt to harsh industrial environments.
According to reports, the USB3.0 active fiber data cable is compatible with almost all USB devices on the market. Experts at the meeting pointed out that the advent of this product marks an important step for Changfei from a traditional industrial optical fiber manufacturer to a consumer optical fiber.
